Drama is the third Vizsla we have purchased from Shikari Vizslas in Massachusetts. She is a niece to our late Siren and her sire was born in Sweden but lives in Australia. Right from the start I knew she needed a strong name to go with her strong personality, so Drama it was, and she does not disappoint. Drama recently showed at the London Canine Association show in St. Thomas and was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Group, then went on to win Reserve Best Baby Puppy in Show. She will make her official debut in the regular classes in August.
Drama made her debut at the Barrie Kennel and Obedience Club show, she showed very well for being just over 6 months old, however there was no class competition for her that weekend so it was just a great experience. The following weekend at the Kilbride Kennel Club show she was again the only class entry and showed very well, handled both days by Emmett. On August 13th she was awarded Best of Opposite Sex over 2 specials for her first 2 points, then was given Best Puppy in Group. At a mere 6.5 months old she is showing us she has a very bright future ahead.
Drama will join the rest of our string at the Canadian National Specialty on September 9th in Ancaster ON.
Over the course of 3 days in Ancaster at the Oakville Kennel Club show and specialties, Drama won her competitive Jr Puppy class twice, including at the National Specialty, and was second the other 3 times. She was even awarded Reserve Winners Bitch and best puppy at the Limited Sporting Breed show on the 8th.
Drama has been showing well all fall and is now only 3 points away from her CKC Championship. She also showed in a UKC show at the end of September and was awarded Winners twice over Jelly and Scandal, putting her about half way to her UKC championship as well.
Drama finished her CKC Championship at the Aurora and District Kennel Club show in Mississauga mid November. She was awarded Winners Bitch/Best Puppy at both the VSO and Vizsla Canada booster shows which gave her the points she needed to become a Ch. She was moved up the Champion class for the Brantford and District KC show and on her first day as a Special was awarded Best of Breed/Best Puppy for 3 Grand Champion points. Drama also completed her UKC Championship in early December with 3 group placements.
Drama is currently taking some time off from CKC to follow her dreams of earning points in the AKC and has returned to her Breeder in Massachusetts for a short time.
