Scandal is the puppy we kept from the Valor and Elara breeding. Valor is a wonderful dog who lives in Pennsylvania with breeder Carol Rappaport. He is currently the top ranking Vizsla in AKC FastCat (similar to sprinter) and holds many other titles in various sports. His grandfather is Nova, who we bred Elara to in 2021. Thankfully everything just fell into place for this breeding and Elara made the uneventful trip to PA and back by hitching rides with handlers to and from a large show down there; sometimes things actually go our way. This litter had lots of substance and we had several lovely puppies to choose from. Scandal has a brother whom we co-own and will hopefully get out to a few shows this winter, as well as 2 sisters who will be going into performance sports, one of whom is in Massachusetts.

Scandal is a super mellow puppy who is very loving and always up for a cuddle. We are hoping for great things to come from her in all fields. Her first weekend in the ring as a baby puppy she was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Group at the Burlington Kennel Club show.

On her first day in the big girl ring at 6 months plus 5 days old, Scandal earns her first 2 points for her Championship. At the Brantford and District Kennel Club show Scandal pleased the judge so much she was awarded Winners and Best of Opposite sex over specials for 3 points, then earned Best Puppy in Group and Best Bred by Exhibitor in Group.

At the final show of 2022 Scandal was awarded Winners Bitch/Best of Breed over her mother Elara earning another 2 points for her Championship, she now sits at 7 points already. Scandal has been attending a few shows this spring and picked up another point at the Guelph and District Kennel Club show on April 23rd.

Scandal finished her Championship the same day as her brother Bruce at the Victoria County KC show in April. She was shown as a special for the first time at the Erie Shores KC show and specialties and was awarded the only Award of Merit at the Ontario All Pointing Breeds Field Dog Club specialty. In May Scandal earned her Field Dog Jr title in 3 runs with nice scores in the 80's, she shows a lot of promise in this sport.

Scandal sat out the beginning of the summer while Jelly and Bruce worked on their Grand Championships. She went back in the ring again at the Kilbride Kennel Club show August 12th and was awarded her first 2 Grand points by going Best of Opposite Sex.

In August we tried Sprinter for the first time with the newest dogs, Scandal wasn't too sure of it but did manage to have 1 successful run. On October 15th and 16th we went back to Barrie and ran in 6 more sprinter trials. Scandal now has her Novice Sprinter and is well on her way to the next title.

Scandal had a lovely win at the Aurora and District Kennel Club show in Mississauga in mid November. She was awarded Select Bitch at the Vizsla Canada booster under long time breeder judge Mr Frank Whyte from Scotland, over a great entry of Vizslas. Scandal has since picked up more Grand points at the Trillium, Caledon and Brantford shows and currently sits at 14, she also earned her UKC Championship on November 12th 2023 in Buffalo NY.
